I was a little bit bummed when I realized Friday afternoon that we wouldn't be spending Easter with family. We usually see at least one side and most years we get to see both at one point or another. We don't do anything big, but it's always nice to hang out with the fam. And it hit me in the car on the way back down from Portland that we wouldn't be this year. I was also a little sad that the girls wouldn't get to hunt for the eggs that both sets of grandparents have so much fun hiding - it would have been Dagny's first time.
I am so thankful for the friends that we have made down here. We were all kind of thinking the same thing about wanting to go to an egg hunt with the kids, but we couldn't find one that we wanted to go to. So we decided to do our own ... and it was the greatest thing ever.

After the hunt, they got to dye some eggs. It didn't work all that great, but they had fun doing it!
I can't believe how much fun today was. I mean, I can. These people are amazing.
